Football fans stunned by $653 bill for a pizza and chicken fingers at stadium – fineprint on receipt made it even worse
After allegedly charging exorbitant fees for snacks, a football stadium is facing criticism.
At a college football game on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, one fan spent $653 on pizza and chicken fingers.
While watching the UNLV Rebels play the San Diego State Aztecs in the stadium, the shocked fan sent a friend a photo of his receipt and their food, which the friend then published on X.
Even though the Rebels defeated them 41–20 to finish 8–2 in the NCAADivision I, the cost of the food and beverages left the supporters with a negative impression.
The NFL team, the Las Vegas Raiders, moved from Oakland, California to Allegiant Stadium, which debuted in 2020 after spending $1.9 billion.
The 65,000-seat stadium is completely covered and climate-controlled to shield players and fans from the intense Nevada heat.

In February of this year, it hosted Super Bowl LVIII, which was witnessed by fiancée Taylor Swift and saw Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs defeat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime.
However, the corporate sectors’ concession charges astonished onlookers.
They posted an image of their receipt for $190 worth of chicken tenders and $300 worth of pepperoni pizza.
Since the pizza is divided into six pieces, each piece costs an incredible $50.
According to a picture of the chicken tenders, there are about ten in the package, which is almost $20 for each tender.
With a $50.48 sales tax and a $112.70 “administrative charge” added, the total price, tip excluded, was $653.18.
All food and drink items are subject to a 23% administration fee in addition to applicable sales tax, according to the receipt.
This implies that in addition to the fee and tax, a tip would be given.
Renowned Las Vegas bettor Bill Krackomberger posted the images.
He posted on X, “A friend of mine had a VIP box for yesterday’s UNLV game.”
“Pizza and wings were ordered. It never occurred to me how much this garbage would cost. $653.
Bill said, “They treat the luxury suite guests like they are in a club with bottle service.”
The charges were met with fury from horrified X users.

“Idk what is worse $300 for 6 slices of pizza or $190 for overcooked chicken tenders,” another person remarked.
“Yup telling credit card company my s*** was stolen,” a third person said.
Many were especially enraged at the administrative fee.
“I don t know what the answer to fix this is, but if you are going to hit me with a service charge, I m not gonna tip,” a customer said.

“Wait are people surprised the luxury boxes in a stadium where prices are already elevated are even more elevated?” Someone said.
“Have you been to a concert or music festival before?”
Allegiant Stadium and the UNLV Rebels have been contacted by the U.S. Sun for comment.
Allegiant Stadium’s concession prices have caused uproar in the past.
NFL fans were stunned to learn that a nacho bowl at the Super Bowl in February cost $60.
The Allegiant Stadium food outlets’ Chef Specialties menu featured the $58.58 Surf and Turf Nachos basket.
