Former PM Rishi Sunak in new career move as he takes one step closer to living in California
RISHI Sunak has accepted a part-time position at Stanford University, bringing him one step closer to realizing his California goal.
The former prime minister revealed Monday that he will serve as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institute, where he would concentrate on topics including technology, international security, and the economy.
The owner of a 7.2-meter apartment in sunny Santa Monica, Mr. Sunak, will also start a second job at Oxford University.
He will become a Distinguished Fellow at the Blavatnik School as part of the Oxford post.
The former PM will not be compensated for either position.
The former prime minister will continue to serve as an MP.
However, he will cover Stanford’s costs.
Millionaire Mr. Sunak stated: My life was influenced by Oxford and Stanford, and I am excited to contribute to their renowned work tackling the modern world’s technology prospects and difficulties.
In 2009, Mr. Sunak married wealthy Akshata Murthy, but his years in banking also contributed to his wealth.
The former Conservative Party leader has one of the highest net worths of any MP, having amassed his money via years of business.
