Fortnite fans are divided over big changes to Battle Pass and Fortnite Crew subscription

FORTNITE revealed significant modifications to its Fortnite Crew subscription program as well as the first-ever price increase for the game’s Battle Pass.

Each season’s Battle Pass unlocking now costs 1000 V-Bucks, Fortnite’s in-game cash, instead of 950.

Given that a bundle of 1,000 V-Bucks now costs this amount to purchase with actual money, it equals to $8.99 / 6.99.

Although the 50 V-Bucks price increase only amounts to a $0.45/.35 rise, it is noteworthy because it is the first Battle Pass price adjustment since Fortnite’s debut.

Players will start paying extra starting in the upcoming in-game season as the increased price takes effect on December 1, 2024.

Just before the pricing adjustment, on November 30, the current Chapter 2 Remixseason comes to an end.

Fortnite OG is coming back very soon and it s here to stay

The price increase for Fortnite’s Battle Pass coincides with the game’s permanent mode debut of Fortnite OG.

For players that miss the early days of the game, Fortnite OG will offer a timeless experience.

Fortnite Crew changes

Fortnite is altering its Crew subscription in addition to raising the cost of the Battle Pass.

For a monthly charge of $11.99/9.99, subscribers of Fortnite Crew have access to the current Battle Pass for Battle Royale mode, 1,000 V-Bucks, Rocket Pass, exclusive Crew Pack skins, and other benefits.

Battle passes for the game’s more recent modes, Fortnite Festival and Lego Fortnite, will be available to subscribers of the Crew subscription starting December 1, 2024.

The cost of the Fortnite Crew subscription will not increase in light of the additional features; it will continue to be $11.99/9.99.

Additionally, by playing any of the three modes, players will be able to level up all three battle passes and simultaneously obtain rewards from them.

This implies that you can still get the rewards from Lego Fortnite and Fortnite Festival if you don’t play them; all you have to do is play Battle Royale.

Subscribe more!

At first glance, the new Fortnite Crew adjustments appear to be beneficial because players will now have access to more content with the subscription.

However, the extra incentives won’t mean much to players who are just interested in one of the modes, namely Battle Royale.

The adjustments, when combined with Fortnite’s Battle Pass’s first-ever price increase, are obviously intended to encourage gamers to upgrade to the more costly monthly subscriptions.

With the exception of Remix and OG events, the majority of Fortnite Battle Royale seasons endure roughly 75 days on average.

This implies that in order to keep their Battle Pass operational for the entire season, users must subscribe for two or three months.
