The Tangent Gallery & Hastings Street Ballroom in Detroit
For its sixth year, this small-scale art and music festival is back, showcasing regional artists and musicians.
Eight artists from a variety of genres will perform at the event on Saturday, and over 30 artisans and dealers will display and sell their creations.
The cost of admission is $15 in cash at the door ($15.90 with a card) or $13 in advance.

Detroit Zoo in Royal Oak
Through January 5, the zoo in Royal Oak is transformed into a sparkling winter paradise after dusk, with millions of lights blazing on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
You can anticipate seeing illuminating tunnels, illuminated pathways, enormous lights animal sculptures, and more. The newest art show in the zoo, Among the Living: Wildlife Photography of Guadalupe Laiz, is also open to visitors.
