Fox News’ Dr. Kelly Powers dead at 45 after devastating health battles as tributes pour in for ‘wonderful & strong’ mom

TRIBUTES have been made to Kelly Powers, a doctor and Fox News contributor who lost her fight with cancer at the age of 45.

After receiving a brain cancer diagnosis in 2020, the mother fought the illness during her pregnancy and gave birth to her now three-year-old son, Bennett.

Powers was able to put her cancer into remission after undergoing three surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation treatment.

However, friends raised over $100,000 to assist pay for an experimental treatment that her health insurance did not cover, and the sickness returned earlier this year.

Powers, a prominent surgeon, was born in Yonkers, New York, and attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine before completing her residency at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Later, she started contributing regularly to Fox News, where she appeared on the network’s Red Eyetalk show and in segments about the health hazards that Americans face on Fox Business.

In the New Jersey town of Colts Neck, Powers shared a home with Bennett and her spouse, Steven.

According to her obituary, she was “a brave and beautiful soul who could make friends anywhere she went.”

Among her many interests are “gardening, surfing, ballet, biking, running, horseback riding, and travel.” It also highlights her passion for her family.
