Fox NFL Sunday star Michael Strahan calls out Texans defender Azeez Al-Shaair after brutal head hit on Trevor Lawrence
Michael Strahan criticized Azeez Al-Shaair of the Houston Texans for his violent hit on Trevor Lawrence, which resulted in his disqualification.
On the thirteenth week of Fox NFL Sunday, 53-year-old Strahan went on the rant.
Late in the first half, Lawrence slid following a scramble, and Al-Shaair struck him on the head.
Lawrence was down on the field for several minutes before being removed on a cart after the hit triggered two altercations.
At halftime of Sunday’s Texans vs. Jaguars game, Fox switched to studio coverage.
Strahan used the occasion to attack Florida Atlantic linebacker Al-Shaair, who was not selected in the draft.

“I think he threw himself out the game,” the former defensive end for the New York Giants stated.
“In my opinion, he took that action after realizing that he would not have been protected if he had continued playing the game.
“What he did – everybody knows as a defensive player – you don’t do that.”
Strahan went on to claim the play was “so unnecessary because you do protect your play; you protect your guys, regardless of offense and defense and how you feel.”
Even when you’re competing, we have a great deal of respect for one another on the field.
“That was so uncalled for.”
Lawrence had missed two games due to a shoulder ailment, and this was his first game back.
Due to a concussion, the previous first-round selection was unable to play the remainder of the match.
Thankfully, Lawrence didn’t require hospitalization.
Al-Shaair will probably face a steep fine and possibly even suspension.
It wasn’t just Strahan who made strong remarks about the situation on Fox NFL Sunday.
“It’s clear and obvious thatTrevor Lawrenceis going to slide, but Azeez Al-Shaair, he did something that he shouldn’t have done,”Rob Gronkowskisaid.
Since he was dismissed from the game, he will undoubtedly reconsider this while he is sitting in the locker room.
“He kind of uses that elbow brace that he has, and he slingshots himself right into the Trevor Lawrence’s head and knocks him out and makes him go stiff, which you never want to see.”
