Freed British-Israeli hostage Emily Damari has emotional phone call with Sir Keir Starmer as PM invites her to No10
Emily Damari, a freed British-Israeli hostage, calls Sir Keir Starmer in tears.
The prime minister invited the 28-year-old to visit 10 Downing Street once she recovers from her 15-month experience, saying he was thrilled by the touching pictures of her reunion with her mother, Mandy, just two weeks ago.
On October 7, 2023, South East Londoner Emily was abducted from her house in Israel by Hamas terrorists, who also killed her dog and injured her in the wrist and leg.
She stated during the call that she was detained in a UN facility for a while but was not allowed to receive medical care.
All she received was an outdated bottle of iodine, even though she had been wounded in the leg and lost two fingers.
According to Mandy, her daughter is having a difficult time recovering physically, but she appears to be doing rather well psychologically.
