Fulop will run with three council candidates in Bloomfield
In the Democratic primary, three Bloomfield municipal candidates will compete on a slate affiliated with gubernatorial candidate Steve Fulop. In Congress, Bloomfield is represented by another candidate, Mikie Sherrill.
Stefanie Santiago will run for a position representing the first ward, while Tracy Toler-Phillips and Satenik Margaryan will run for at-large seats on the township council.
The three-term mayor of Jersey City, Fulop, has already brought together a sizable contingent of candidates from throughout the state for the State Assembly, and Commissioner Bloomfield of Bergen County is one of Fulop’s first municipal running mates.
Ted Gamble, a former mayor and supporter of Fulop, is supporting Toler-Phillips, Margaryan, and Santiago. After Michael Venezia resigned to join the State Assembly, Gamble was elected mayor last year. However, Jenny Mundell defeated him in the Democratic primary.
Since each of these candidates has a distinct set of abilities, I’m thrilled to back them in their primaries. According to Gamble, each of them has a track record of successfully energizing the public during my campaign and around significant subjects like flood mitigation. In order to bring about significant change, our team looks for possibilities and approaches to address them at the local level. This is the group that has the power to change Bloomfield.
