‘Future is looking a lot brighter’: Wayne County man wins $1 million on Michigan lotto scratch-off
(FOX 2) Wayne County, MichiganA fifty-year-old guy claims that after winning $1 million on a scratch-off lottery ticket, he will be able to live comfortably.
At the Way Station on Main Street and Plymouth, the player purchased the winning ticket.
“I like playing all of the different Lottery games, and I have a daily ritual of stopping at the Way Station to purchase a scratch-off ticket,” added the man. “I had to use the app to verify that I was reading the Wild Cherry ticket correctly when I scratched it upon arriving home and discovered it was a $1 million winning ticket. I woke my wife up to share the good news with her after the app verified my win.
Instead of receiving the entire prize in annuity payments, the man chose to receive a one-time lump sum payout of roughly $693,000. He stated that he would take a trip and do home modifications with the money.
“The future is looking a lot brighter thanks to this prize,” he stated. “I feel extremely lucky to have won!”
