Grammys viewers SLAM event as A-List stars snubbed from major wins

Fans dubbed the Grammy Awards “the Scammys” when big stars were excluded from gong collection.

Some of the biggest celebrities competed for the coveted honors at the annual event known as the “Oscars of the music industry.”

Sadly, not everyone could win, but when Billy Eilish left with nothing at all, people were taken aback.

Throughout the evening, Billie won seven accolades, including the coveted album of the year for her album, Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Birds of a Feather, a song she sang on stage with her brother Finneas at the ceremony, was a favorite to win either Song of the Year or Record of the Year.

But her dreams of recognition were shattered when Beyonc’s Cowboy Carter won the Grammy Award in the evening’s final ceremony.

Billie put on a brave front and smiled with tears in her eyes, but she was clearly heartbroken as the winner was announced.

Notably, after losing herself four times previously, it was Beyonc’s first victory in the category.

Taylor Swift left empty-handed as well, after being nominated for six prizes for The Tortured Poets Department.

The decision was criticized on X (previously Twitter) by fans who were furious to see the celebrities leave with nothing.

“Imagine spending four years creating an album, mastering composition techniques to create an orchestral opening and closing to an album, reaching the top of the charts for eight consecutive months, having a song that has been streamed two billion times, and winning tears of gloom,” one person commented. Billie was robed.

“At the Grammys, Billie Eilish deserved something. For this record, she literally put in a ton of work,” a second stated.

“F**k the #scammys billie deserved AOTY,” a third person wrote.

“billie you did NOT deserve to be snubbed #Scammys Justice for Hit Me Hard and Soft,” a fourth person tweeted.

“Taylor and Billie not winning a single Grammy when they both had the best 2 albums of the year is such robbery and scam,” stated a fifth.

Birds Of A Feather was one of the most streamed songs of 2024, according to others, therefore they didn’t understand why Billie didn’t win both Song of the Year and Record of the Year.

In the midst of their ongoing conflict, Kendrick Lamar’s diss single against rapper Drake, “Not Like Us,” won both Record and Song of the Year.

For her summer smash, Espresso, Sabrina Carpenter won two prizes for best pop vocal album and pop solo performance in a difficult year to compete.

The Best New Artist award went to Chappell Roan.

Beyonc won both Album of the Year and Best Country Album, solidifying her status as the most acclaimed performer in the history of the awards.
