Griffin FAMILY AWAITS News as Search for MISSING National Guard Sergeant in Lake Greenwood Progresses
A lady who collapsed while tubing in Lake Greenwood over the weekend is still missing, according to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, which began its search for her on Monday. According to the family, the woman’s name is Porsha Griffin, and she is a Southern Carolina National Guard Staff Sergeant who is thirty years old. Amicka, her mother, stated that they are keeping their fingers crossed that they will be able to locate Griffin, but all they can do is wait.
As far as Griffin’s mother is concerned, everything began with a phone call.

“They inquired of me, are you seated at this moment? Are you feeling okay? For the moment, just explain to me what the problem is. Amicka Griffin explained, “Because if you’re asking me this, there’s just something wrong with the situation.”
At that very instant, Griffin received the news that her daughter Porsha had gone missing. I had no desire for that at any point in my life. We were informed that my kid had gone missing. I questioned them about what had occurred and where they had gone missing. To what do you refer to the absence of? It appears that they embarked on a journey aboard a boat, as Griffin explained. They went on a boat cruise out on the water. While they were tubing, she dropped off the tube and did not resurface. Two of them were on the tube at the time.
During the time of the event, it appeared that life jackets were not being worn, according to the initial report that was submitted by officials with the SCDNR.
Since Saturday, search and rescue teams have been looking for Griffin, leaving her mother to wait and hope for her daughter.
“Waiting is the most-worse part of this whole situation,” Griffin stated to reporters. When are we going to locate it? Are we ever going to see it? To what extent will it continue to be a mystery, and will we continue to wait and try? A mother, a registered nurse, and a sergeant in the South Carolina National Guard are among the members of the family who are currently praying and hoping for some sort of resolution.
“She wanted a reunion, but I didn’t want it to be this kind of reunion,” Griffin explained to reporters.
