Grizzlies-Spurs start delayed after courtside fan collapses in terrifying medical emergency leading to player prayers
After a horrific medical emergency involving a courtside fan, the Memphis Grizzlies vs. San Antonio Spurs game was postponed.
When they were in the FedEx Forum, home of the Grizzlies, both NBA teams were in prayer.
At a basketball game, a man is reported to have passed out while standing courtside.
The opening tip was stopped because of the scary scene, and the fan required medical assistance.
Local Memphis reporter Colin Cody shared a video of stadium staff performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the man who was on the ground on X.

While the medical professionals assisted the spectator, TV cameras also captured the Grizzlies players and coaching staff in a huddle, praying.
According to reports, the initial 8:00 pm Eastern tip-off time was rescheduled to 8:50 pm, and players were instructed to report to their individual locker rooms.
The spectator was treated and removed from the arena on a stretcher approximately seven minutes after the incident, which is thought to have happened minutes before tipoff.
Before the game started, both teams warmed up, and the Grizzlies players returned to the field at approximately 8:40 p.m.
Memphis went on to win 128-109 and extend their winning streak to three games.
With a 34-16 record, they are ranked No. 2 in the Western Conference.
Citing privacy concerns, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins gave little specifics about the fan’s health status after the game, but stated that the team is “hoping for the best.”
Mike Miller, a former NBA player and current sports agent, was seated close to the fan and claimed to have informed authorities that the fan was sick.
The words “it was awful,” Miller said. He was seated conversing with others when the national anthem played, and he remained still.
According to Memphis standout Ja Morant, GG Jackson, a teammate, initiated the group prayer on the floor.
“We had a great prayer led by GG, Morant said.”After that, we returned here with high hopes.
“Praying for the best.”
