According to reports, a sequel to the popular movie from the noughties, How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days, is in the works.

More than two decades have passed since the famous characters played by Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson unintentionally fell in love.

Andie (Hudson), a magazine journalist, was given the task of writing a special column on the topic of how to lose a guy in ten days in the 2003 movie.

She got to know Benjamin (McConaughey), a marketing executive who bet with his coworkers that he could win over any woman.

When they fell in love, neither of them had any idea what the other was up to.

It has been disclosed, nevertheless, that the A-list duo has been asked to return for the eagerly awaited follow-up.

The working title for the film is “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days—again.”

It will follow the couple as they get ready to get married and deal with Andie’s turbulent relationship with her mother.

The Daily Mail claims that Kate Hudson is pleading with her real-life mother, Golden Hawn, to appear on the show.

The 78-year-old veteran actress is reportedly reluctant to accept the part, though.

Given how close the mother and daughter are in real life, it is said that she is not particularly interested in depicting their broken relationship on TV.

According to an individual who spoke to the site, Goldie is not entirely prepared to sign on because of the tense connection between the two in the upcoming film.

“Goldie and Kate are more like sisters than mother and daughter in real life. Goldie was present during the birth of Kate’s three children, and they divulge all of their secrets.

They went on: “Goldie is concerned that portraying a mother who is at odds with her daughter will be extremely difficult for her.

“Kate s begging her to do it but Goldie still hasn t fully committed yet.”

According to reports, filming is scheduled to begin next year, with Marmont Lane Entertainment, produced by Christine Peters, returning.
