Hitwoman dubbed ‘The Doll’ is arrested in Colombia over gang murders – including ambush killing of her own ex-boyfriend
Due to a series of gang killings, including one involving her own ex-boyfriend, an alleged hitwoman has been detained in Colombia.
Suspect Karen Julieth Ojeda Rodriguez, 23, refers to herself as La Mu eca, which, in a terrifying way, means “The Doll.”
Rodriguez, a young alleged assassin, is thought to be the most dreaded hitwoman in her community and is even charged with being the head of a hitman network.
She and a man who goes by the name Leopoldo were handcuffed as part of a massive police operation.
She is seen going with two police officers by her side, her hands firmly bound behind her back, in a video that has gone viral online.
The Doll then takes a position to Leopoldo’s right before giving the camera a spooky, emotionless look.
A policeman holds her and Leopoldo while they stand in front of the weapon that was discovered in the 23-year-old’s possession.
Authorities had made The Doll a top target before she was arrested.
Barrancabermeja, a municipality in Santander, Colombia, has been shaken by a string of murders in recent months.
This includes Deyvy Jesus Garcia Palomino, her ex-partner, who was murdered in Piedecuesta, a remote location.
The Doll supposedly saw her ex to resolve a financial dispute, but she also arranged for another woman to hire hitmen to commit the crime.
It was revealed throughout the hearings that the frightful duo had allegedly been paid $4 million to track down and watch the ex-boyfriend in order to position him for murder by criminals.
The Doll was wanted for her role in multiple killings, according to Magdalena Medio Police Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mauricio Herrera.
According to NeedToKnow, he added that there is a suspicion that she is in charge of a specialized network.
Authorities reportedly found a deadly nine-millimeter caliber pistol and a revolver weapon during the arrest.
Officers are now in possession of them and will analyze the guns to see if they were used in any recent crimes.
One of the cities with the highest murder rates in the entire country is Bucaramanga, the capital of Santander.
According to the Bucaramanga Metropolitan Police, 30 homicides were reported in the region during the first quarter of this year.
Compared to the same period in 2022, when the authorities reported 26 incidents of this kind, the data from this year is significantly higher.
Lieutenant Colonel Herrera said in a statement: “A portion of peace is created in the area once aliases ‘La Mu eca’ and ‘Leopoldo’ are apprehended.
“These arrests mark an advance in the dismantling of criminal structures responsible for the recent homicides.”
The Attorney General’s Office now has access to The Doll and her suspected co-conspirators since their capture.

Hearings will be convened to legalize their capture, file charges, and request security measures, according to National Police.
Given the gravity of the incidents and the danger that the people who were arrested represent to society, the prosecutor’s office is anticipated to ask for preventive custody.
