DETROIT (FOX 2):Human remains found Monday afternoon on Detroit’s west side are being investigated by police.

Human remains were discovered outside the residence off Woodingham Street, close to Livernois and Outer Drive, according to FOX 2.

While working on the house, a construction crew discovered partially buried and partially decomposing human bones. The body was covered with carpeting or a tarp of some sort.

Those workers alerted the DPD right away, and they arrived on the spot and verified that there were human remains partially protruding from the earth. After being contacted, the FBI is helping with the investigation.

The remains will probably need to be dug out with the assistance of an excavator because of the chilly temperatures.

A foot and shin were observed protruding through the ground behind the house’s garage, according to Detroit police.

Investigators claim that no one is residing in the house at the moment.
