Humble Jalen Hurts lives in modest $210,000 three-bedroom house despite mega $255m Philadelphia Eagles contract
In 2023, Jalen Hurts, a superstar quarterback, inked a huge $255 million contract.
However, despite his enormous impact on the field, the Philadelphia Eagles player has a relatively humble existence off it.
He disclosed that he avoided the real estate market when he was initially drafted in 2020.
Hurts chose to rent an apartment in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, which is 20 minutes away from downtown Philadelphia, instead of using his rookie salary to buy a big house.
According to reports, the monthly fee is approximately $2,000.
In 2021, he stated: “It was only me when I got drafted, so I didn’t buy a house or anything like that.
“This large space wasn’t necessary for me alone. I recently moved into a little apartment.
“You know, something smooth that ll last me for the time being.”
Hurts made his real estate debut in Texas when he purchased a small house for his parents.
According to reports, Jalen spends some of the off-season there, and it is registered under his father, Averion Sr.
The fact that the house is in Humble attests to Jalen’s humble beginnings.
The house, which was purchased for $215,000, has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a two-car garage.
According to reports, Hurts renovated the interior with more opulent furnishings, such as stainless steel appliances and a granite kitchen.
It features a sizable backyard and is 2,350 square feet.
Hurts made the decision to establish his own roots in Texas after receiving his huge contract.
Hurts invested money on a big 1950s estate that is only five miles from Humble.
Situated on a 10-acre lot, the 6,000-square-foot home has six spacious bedrooms and six bathrooms.
In addition, it features two garages, one linked to the house and one detached that can accommodate four automobiles, as well as a sizable swimming pool.
