I found big ‘discrepancies’ in Best Buy’s return policy – now I’m begging them to honor the price match
After the pricing of his mobile device changed, a BEST Buy customer claimed to have problems with his purchase.
To draw attention to inconsistencies, Xuser Apoorv Gaur filed a complaint on the tech store online.
His tweets were answered by Best Buy’s customer support, and a specific aspect of the business’ return policy might be the cause of his problem.
RETURN TIME
He claimed to have purchased a mobile device with a 14-day return policy last month.
However, he now claims that there is a 60-day return policy for the item.
He said he spoke with a customer support agent to confirm this.

Gaur has been irritated by that since the device’s pricing has changed.
He claimed that since he purchased it, the price has decreased by $200.
THE RESPONSE
One of Gaur’s tweets was answered by a company representative.
They said, “We want to see if we can help you in any way.”
Then, in a private chat, the representative requested more details from him.
It’s unclear if Gaur ever got in touch to address the matter.
But he continued the sequence with another tweet.
He said, “I need you to keep the price match.” There is nothing unethical about this!
Although the exact reason for his statement is unclear, it appears that he was attempting to guarantee that he would still receive a complete refund if he returned the item after 14 days.
If the price has changed, that may get complicated.
SIXTY DAYS?
According to Best Buy’s return policy, some items are returnable for up to 60 days.
However, that only applies to those who have particular loyalty memberships.
Members of My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total are eligible for a 60-day return policy on select products.
Although Gaur’s membership status is unknown, it appears that this may be the source of the 60-day number.
Customers should get in touch with the business if they have any issues concerning the return policy.

A consumer threatened to return every item following their experience at Best Buy, to which the retailer recently reacted.
Gaur is not alone in criticizing the company’s return policy; some people feel that the typical return window is far too short.
