I was called a paedo on my wedding day after marrying a ’10-year-old boy’ – now we’re expecting triplets

Lauren Kaye gives her new wife Hannah a long kiss as they wrap off a joyous lunch.

Then, happily oblivious to the angry looks from the other diners seated close by, Hannah tenderly massages her partner’s growing baby bulge.

What are you doing, in your opinion? A woman seated close to the two remarks, “That’s disgusting,” and advises them to leave the ten-year-old boy alone. You’re a paedo.”You ought to be arrested,” someone else says.

Strangers are always observing the couple because, despite Hannah being 29 years old—just three years younger than Lauren—she is frequently confused for a ten-year-old lad.

Ignoring the looks, the rebellious pair, who are now months away from becoming parents after IVF using Hannah’s eggs and donor sperm, celebrate with another kiss.

People believe that I am having his children since I married a schoolboy. Lauren, 31, who has a ten-year-old son and a nine-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, claims that they are stupid and illiterate.

MIND THE GAP

They are unaware that my wife, who is ten years old, is actually 29 years old.

Regardless of what others may think, we are ecstatic to have triplets. It makes us chuckle.

As the June arrival of their babies approaches, social media promoter Lauren, who lives close to Kingston, Surrey, and her partner, Hannah, a specialist engineer, are preparing for additional criticism.

“Now that I’m pregnant, I know the abuse will only get worse,” Lauren adds.

The detractors won’t cause me any trouble.”

Two years ago, the pair met on Tinder and clicked right away.

I was called a paedo on my wedding day after marrying a ’10-year-old boy’ – now we’re expecting triplets

The couple was married in a Surrey registry office seven months after Hannah proposed in January 2024.

Almost immediately after realizing their desire to become parents, they took a plane to Northern Cyprus for the initial round of IVF.

Lauren was not eligible for NHS treatment in the UK because she already had two children.

The women spent $9,000 on reciprocal IVF, also known as shared parenthood, a reproductive treatment option offered to same-sex female couples.

One woman’s eggs are fertilized with a donor sperm, and the resulting embryos are then implanted in the womb of another.

“We chose a Swedish sperm donor because he was the closest match to our skin tones and looks,” says Hannah.

Lauren had uterine stimulation to get her body ready for pregnancy, while Hannah had a stimulation cycle to help her body produce the most eggs for harvesting.

According to the pair, the therapy was exhausting.

It’s a demanding and frustrating procedure, Lauren remembers. After Hannah’s eggs were collected, only three of them successfully underwent fertilization.

To increase our chances of getting pregnant, we chose to have all three implanted.

The clinic experts told us it was the wisest course of action, even though we knew the three embryos had very little chance of remaining in the womb.

Lauren took a pregnancy test after feeling ill three days following the implantation in September.

We were instructed to hold off on testing for two weeks, but I had a gut sense. Hannah adds, “Hannah and I were overwhelmed when the test came back positive.”

Three days after implantation, a positive pregnancy result is unheard of. A miracle occurred.

A joyous moment

After two weeks, Lauren’s pregnancy was confirmed by a blood test, and a scan showed that she was expecting three babies.

I had triplets in my womb. According to Lauren, it was a happy time for both of us.

In order to track the multiple pregnancy, Lauren undergoes scans every two weeks, and all three embryos are in self-contained placentas.

She explains, “Hannah and I joke that we got a three for one deal.”

It is another marvel that all of the babies are developing contentedly by the time they are three months old.

Given that triplets frequently result in an early birth, Lauren and Hannah have been informed that there is a significant chance that one or more of the kids will be lost.

According to Lauren, we’re ready for anything and are hoping for the best.

Viciously attacked

However, trolls have continued to post hateful comments on Lauren’s Instagram despite the couple’s joyous news.

When the couple posted their wedding pictures to social media, the naysayers started trolling.

According to Lauren, some people thought it was adorable that her ten-year-old son escorted her down the aisle.

Others fiercely accused me for snoozing a boy who was ten years old. People still yell at us when we walk down the street today.

Although Hannah is resilient, I was initially upset that our gorgeous wedding day pictures had been targeted.

I now realize how narrow-minded the trolls are. Engaging with them is pointless.

Lauren has come to find humor in Hannah’s childish taunts.

My wife claims that she is extremely fortunate to have amazing genes, but I spent thousands of pounds to look younger and alter my body and appearance.

Hannah, in my opinion, will never grow old. Our children will be young and attractive.

However, Hannah acknowledges that she is frequently questioned for identification and that her youthful appearance does have certain drawbacks.

She discloses that it is difficult to purchase alcohol, purchase lottery tickets, or even travel.

The staff informed Lauren that she was not permitted to bring her ten-year-old son to the adult-only hotel. Now we just carry ID and chuckle.

HOW TO REPORT SOCIAL MEDIA TROLLS

Because X, formerly known as Twitter, is one of the most popular social media trolling platforms, the managers have devised numerous strategies to counter the keyboard warriors.

The social media platform is retaliating against trolls by:

  • A ‘mute’ feature which allows users to block notifications based on certain keywords and phrases
  • By allowing users to collect multiple tweets, and therefore multiple users, in a single complaint report called a ‘moment’
  • You can also report an entire profile, if it has been set up purely to spam or post harmful content

By selecting’report post’ from the arrow in the upper right corner, you can report offensive images and posts on Facebook.

To report a post on Instagram, click the elipses in the upper right corner of the image. These elipses are also located next to individual comments.

Both videos and comments on TikTok can be reported using this technique.

Lauren claims that meeting Hannah transformed her life. Lauren made news in January of last year when she revealed her incredible 15-stone weight following a gastric sleeve procedure.

“I had been in denial for the majority of my life, but I knew I was gay,” she adds.

I was badly bullied when my mother fell in love with someone else and I lost my dad in a plane disaster in 1999.

I had two children with a man determined to have what I thought was my idea of normal . It wasn’t.

Finding Hannah and her love, losing weight, and finally accepting who I really am were the keys to the new me.

I underwent a physical and mental transformation. I’ve never been happier than I am right now.

Now, as the pair prepare for motherhood, Lauren says her focus is on her wife, family, pregnancy and career.

But Lauren faces a battle as she has been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe type of morning sickness.

She says this pregnancy is much harder than her previous two.

Carrying my first two children I had easy pregnancies. I experienced some morning sickness but nothing like I have with the triplets,” she says.

It s likely the babies will be premature. That might mean a long period in the hospital ICU.

We re looking for baby items but are not buying things in threes, we don t want to jinx anything.

Reaching the end of the first trimester is a milestone. But we know the chances of miscarrying one or two is still there.

Our focus is welcoming the three healthy babies. Growing our amazing family and taking it from there.

And as for the trolls, Lauren says she has the last laugh – she has 29k followers on Instagram and even negative comments make her money.

She explains: The more clicks the more money I make and the better off for my family is.

The trolls boost my income so bring it on I say.

She adds: Ten years ago, I thought the future was bleak.
