Iconic 80s restaurant plans ‘triumphant return’ to US state after 44 years in response to ‘overwhelming’ fan pleas

After more than 40 years, a beloved restaurant with a western motif is finally returning to a major US state.

Following “overwhelming” fan requests, Roy Rogers officially returned to the area by announcing a new location in New Jersey.

The Cherry Hill branch is scheduled to open in the spring of 2025 and will be situated in a prime location about 10 minutes from Center City Philadelphia on busy Haddonfield Road.

The new site, the only burger drive-thru on the busy route, offers to serve communities, neighborhoods, businesses, and schools.

“We are extremely excited to return to Cherry Hill with our USDA-selected top round roast beef, succulent burgers, and freshly made, hand-breaded fried chicken,” said Jim Plamondon, co-president of Roy Rogers Restaurants.

“Fans of Roy’s Legacy will be ecstatic to see the famous Fixin’s Bar and personalize their favorite sandwiches and tenders with our special sauces.

The quality and variety of our food that you won’t find anywhere else will delight new visitors.

“This is just the beginning of our journey back into the hearts and appetites of this community.”

The 3,300-square-foot eatery will have a contemporary layout with touches of black iron and wood, which are hallmarks of the business.

Modern technology, such as electronic menu boards, ordering kiosks, and digital drive-thru menu boards, will enhance customer convenience while complementing the cozy and inviting design.

The brand’s return to the region is much desired by fans, according to Joe Briglia, Director of Real Estate and Franchise Development.

“We’re thrilled to make it a reality after receiving a tonne of requests for a location in this area from devoted Roy Rogers fans,” he said.

“We plan to build on this success and expand even further in the market.”

Roy Rogers is well-known for its three main dishes: chicken, burgers, and beef.

Additionally returning is the Fixin’s Bar, a staple of the eating experience that allows patrons to personalize their meals with fresh toppings including lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and pickles.

Fans will take pleasure in a little bit of nostalgia combined with contemporary convenience whether they choose to eat in, use the drive-thru, or order delivery or pickup.

This follows KitKat’s first “seasonal” transition in 89 years.

“This season, let’s all take a break from tradition with KitKat Santas,” the business stated.

Hershey has substituted a more festive shape for the classic KitKat fingers.

In a news statement, the snack giant stated, “KitKat is giving Santa Claus a break this year with the introduction of its first-ever seasonal shape – KitKat Santas.”

In the run-up to the holidays, the Christmas sweets is only accessible for a short time.

Every Santa comes “adorned with imprinted boots, a jolly smile and an even crispier wafer-to-chocolate ratio than a traditional KitKat bar.”
