“Identity Revealed?” Driver Involved In Stratford Crash That Resulted In 4 Fatalities
In Stratford, on Tuesday, May 14, at 1:45 a.m., the state Medical Examiner’s Office positively identified Alexander Dennis, a 21-year-old resident of Wayland, Middlesex County, in Massachusetts, as the driver of a 2016 Honda CRV traveling the incorrect way on the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) in Fairfield County.
When the 2010 Chrysler Country Touring van was struck head-on by the Honda, according to State Police, it was driving north in the southbound lanes.
Dennis’s identity was obscured when both vehicles caught fire.
Together with Dennis, two Fairfield County relatives, and the van’s driver also perished in the collision. They were:
The 65-year-old Steven Rowland of Easton, 80-year-old Easton resident Thomas Lucian Vitale, and Olga Vitale of Easton, aged eighty-one.
Following the completion of his junior year, Dennis, a member of the university’s Class of 2025, was returning home, the university reported.
