While she was thrifting, the shopper couldn’t believe her luck when she spotted the high-end furniture piece.
In a viral video, Instagram user Virginia Chamlee (@vchamlee) recounted her fortunate find to her followers.
“I just got one of my dream pieces at Goodwill and I’m in shock,” she told her audience.

The thrifting fan revealed that the item was a Maitland-Smith Leather Bound Book Breakfront Cabinet with a Bookcase Top.
After a quick online search, she discovered that the piece was currently listed for $3,995 on eBay.
Virginia explained that the item comes in two pieces and is designed to resemble a book shelf.
And while the books aren’t real, the attention to detail made them look legit.
The Instagrammer pointed out how the three-dimensional feature made the book spines look real.
“I love that the book titles are all real and many are familiar classics.2 she said.
Some of these titles included Peter Pan, Jane Eyre, The Divine Comedy, and Oliver Twist.
As well as the storage behind the bookshelf doors, the piece also featured two spacious drawers.
Virginia showed her followers what the piece looked like once she had assembled it in her home.
She joked that the piece “almost killed” her but added that she would happily “go out” while lying under it like the Wicked Witch of the East.
Instagram users shared their thoughts on the Goodwill find in the comments section.
