DEBARYLIFE  – On Friday morning, a house in south Charlotte caught fire, killing two pets and injuring one person.

When firefighters arrived at the house on Turnberry Lane at nine in the morning, they discovered that there was a lot of smoke coming from the attic.

According to Charlotte Fire, three individuals who were inside were assessed for possible smoke inhalation. Although one person was admitted to the hospital, they should recover.

In forty minutes, the firefighters contained the fire. Two pets died inside the house, according to firefighters.

Investigators think that an electrical component failure in the utility room of the house caused the fire to start.
