What is the hoax Matilda 2 movie The Trunch?
The Trunch was alleged to be an upcoming sequel to the original Matilda movie but was proved to be a hoax.
The fake poster claimed that villainous Miss Trunchball’s childhood would be explored in the new movie.
But there is no evidence that a Matilda sequel was in the works in 2024.
The post went viral onsocial media, accumulating tens of thousands of reactions.
Some users saw the rumor as factual and said that they “can’t wait” for the sadly fake sequel.

However, a closer look at theFacebookpage reveals that all the posts are completely false.
