Israel agrees CEASEFIRE with Hezbollah after decimating terrorists with pager bombs, invasion & assassinating leaders
After Hezbollah killed its leaders and destroyed the terrorists with pager bombs, Israel approved a ceasefire agreement with the group.
The ceasefire comes after Israel launched its brutal retaliation to the horrific October 7 terror incident in September by invading the Lebanese-based terrorist organization.
The truce is now scheduled to start at 4 a.m. local time (2 a.m. GMT) on Wednesday after the Israeli cabinet accepted the agreement Tuesday evening.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, announced that Hezbollah had been so severely damaged by Israel that northerners may now return to their homes.
Netanyahu asserted that by eliminating leader Hassan Nasrallah and driving his Lebanese adversary decades ago, he had severed the snake’s head.
He stated: “On October 8, Hezbollah decided to launch an attack against us from that location. A year has gone by, and Hezbollah has changed.

“We killed all of the organization’s top officials, destroyed the majority of its rockets and missiles, killed thousands of terrorists, and demolished the terrorist and underground infrastructure that was constructed close to our border over many years.
“We launched attacks on key targets across Lebanon… Lebanon is not the same. Although it seems like science fiction, none of this is.
Netanyahu, meanwhile, threatened to attack Hezbollah once more if it violated the ceasefire.
He declared: “We will strike if Hezbollah tries to attack us, if it armed itself and reconstructed infrastructure close to the border.
“For every violation, we will attack with might.”
He went on to say that pursuing a truce was necessary for three reasons: to isolate Hamas, to restore depleted armaments supplies and allow the army a break, and to concentrate on Iran.
According to Reuters, the agreement calls for the deployment of Lebanon’s army to the region now occupied by the IDF and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from southern Lebanon.
Approximately 20 kilometers from the Israeli border, Hezbollah would then have to withdraw south of the Litani River in Lebanon.
Israel thinks that would protect its northern residents against short-range missile attacks and another surprise terror assault similar to the one that occurred on October 7.
A ceasefire with Hamas, the group responsible for the October 7 terror incident and whom Israel is still battling in Gaza, is not the same as a ceasefire with Hezbollah.
Netanyahu praised the tenacity of northern Israelis who were forced to escape their homes and Hezbollah’s rockets, and he pledged to carry on the campaign against Hamas and return the hostages who are still in Gaza.
Both of those organizations have coordinated their actions and are proxies of Israel’s fiercest adversary, Iran.
The agreement was hailed by US President Joe Biden, who also declared that the US would redouble its efforts to promote regional peace.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah claimed to have agreed to a deal last week.
Mahmoud Komati, a politician with a connection to “We need to see if it is the same deal that the Lebanese authorities approved… no deal will be accepted that violates Lebanon sovereignty… tomorrow it is the job of Lebanese authorities to make sure it is the same deal that was approved last week.”
The Lebanese health ministry reported today that since last October, Israeli strikes on Lebanon during the war had resulted in at least 3,823 deaths and 15,000 injuries.
Following the October 7 bombings last year, Hezbollah launched daily rocket barrages in support of its Hamas friends, turning large swaths of northern Israel into ghost towns.
Hassan Nasrallah, the commander of the Iran-backed group, and all of his senior lieutenants were killed in Israel’s retaliatory blistering display of power in September.
Cross-border gunfire between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah has escalated as truce negotiations have heated up today. Israel reports that some 250 rockets were fired at its territory on Sunday alone.
Hezbollah’s bastion in south Beirut was struck soon after the Israeli military issued an evacuation order.
A day after the Lebanese health ministry reported that 31 people were killed by Israeli airstrikes, primarily in southern Lebanon, footage showed many smoke plumes rising from the region.
Together with Mossad’s potent pager bomb scheme earlier this year, Tel Aviv has used its troops to annihilate the terrorist forces throughout the fight.
The spy service launched out widespread sabotage against Hezbollah in September by detonating hundreds of pagers that the terror group was carrying.
Iran and its allies received a warning from the blitz inside Lebanon that Israel was capable of attacking hundreds of civilians simultaneously.
Additionally, an entire tower block in the capital of Lebanon was destroyed by an Israeli rocket a few days ago, creating a cloud of smoke and a fireball.
It was the most recent assault in Israel’s fight against Hezbolla, which aims to eradicate the terrorist organization that has launched waves of strikes from Lebanon on the other side of the border.
Following the evacuation of 60,000 residents from northern Israel, Tel Aviv had sworn to eradicate the gang.
While the IDF acts on the ground, the Israeli Air Force (IDF) strikes Hezbollah targets from the air.
Originally scheduled to last approximately two weeks, the operation was prolonged while combat aircraft and ground soldiers in the south continued their task.
The Israeli Defense Forces reported earlier this month that approximately 120 Hezbollah targets, including a command center in the governorate of Nabatieh, were targeted over the course of a day in Lebanon.
The World Bank calculated that the war, which was sparked by Hamas’ October 7 terror, had cost 6.3 billion dollars and prompted over a million residents in Lebanon to leave the fighting.
Additionally, the IDF murdered the main spokesperson for Hezbollah in a central Beirut airstrike this month.
A strike on the office of the Arab socialist Baath party murdered three more people and destroyed Mohammed Afif al-Naboulsi.
There is still no end in sight to the battle in the destroyed wasteland of Gaza, southern Israel, where Hamas is still holding a large number of hostages despite the calm in the north.
It coincides with the issuance of arrest warrants alleging war crimes against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former defense commander.
Another warrant was issued in an odd move against a former Hamas leader who is believed to have been killed in an Israeli airstrike earlier this year.
Mohammed Diab Ibrahim al Masri, often known as Mohammed Deif, was a former Hamas leader who is believed to have been killed in Israeli airstrike on Gaza in July.
The warrants were issued by the International Criminal Court, which Israel has repeatedly accused of being anti-Semitic.
Following more than a year of gruesome fighting in Gaza, the warrants charge each man with crimes against humanity.
