‘It was life or death’ Rob Gronkowski claims after grueling Fox NFL Sunday segment which made him show ‘brute strength’

ROB Gronkowski revealed how tough it was to perform a task during a special Fox NFL Sunday broadcast.

The 35-year-old New England Patriots icon participated in the difficult segment during a Veteran’s Day broadcast from the Navy Base in San Diego.

Gronkowski and the rest of the Fox NFL Sunday cast took on challenges with the U.S. military.

The TV broadcast showed past videos of analyst Terry Bradshaw, and host Curt Menefee joining the Navy SEALS on a mission to rescue NFL insider Jay Glazer and a football.

Bradshaw was also seen unloading some naval artillery while on a boat.

Then, Gronkowski was seen attempting an obstacle course.

One of the tasks was climbing a high wall, and the four-time Super Bowl champion opened up about the challenge to his Fox NFL colleagues in the studio.

“You know, I love to do that man. I’m the young buck here. I had no choice but to do it,” Gronkowski said.

“That’s pure brute strength. My arms were fatigued at the top.

“It was a life or death situation so I had to get over that wall.”

A past clip then showed Gronkowski receiving water from Bradshaw.

“That’s what it is all about. Without Terry, I wouldn’t have been hydrated,” Gronk said in the studio.

“I would have been cramping up there. I would have never been able to complete the obstacle.

“So thank you Terry!”

The obstacle course wasn’t the only jaw-dropping assignment that Gronkowski accomplished.

Earlier in the program, Gronk pulled off an incredible feat on live TV, leaping from a helicopter in the ocean.

Gronkowski was joined by a US Navy veteran in the military aircraft and the two took a 25-foot leap into the San Diego waters.

“The one thing he hasn’t learned what to do is say no when asked to do stuff,” Michael Strahan said about Gronkowski’s stunt.

He received applause and high-fives from the military members who gathered to see Fox NFL Sunday.

“You know how to seal the deal,” Strahan said to him as he handed Gronk a football.
