Jaguar is brutally trolled over sneak peek of new car as fans call it an ‘AC unit on wheels’ a day after logo drama

Due to a number of rebranding changes the firm is planned for its opulent cars, Jaguar is in hot water with its customers.

Following the company’s decision to replace its iconic large cat emblem with a shiny new advertisement, fans of the British automaker blasted the business.

With the exception of G and U, all of the golden letters in their new logo are lowercase, making the word “Jaguar” read “JaGUar.”

According to a company spokeswoman, the logo “seamlessly blended upper and lower case characters in visual harmony.”

Perhaps the most recognizable features of Jag automobiles are the screaming jaguar logo and the silver jaguar animal jumping in mid-air with a snarl.

The decision to alter the recognizable silver jaguar emblem was deemed “the self-destruct button” by one admirer.

‘AC UNIT?’

Jaguar recently posted a preview of its newest vehicle on Instagram, but enthusiasts criticized it by comparing it to a “air conditioning unit.”

Someone asked, “Is it a balcony AC unit?”

“Air conditioning system?” inquired a second.

Another said, “AC unit on wheels?”

A fourth individual made the joke, “Their rebranding looks like they are gonna sell vapes,”

“Copy nothing” is Jaguar’s new marketing motto, and the company accompanied the image with the car’s December 2 launch date.

The company was the target of several trolling comments that said, “You should probably start copying something.”

“You people ought to start imitating others. Anyone? Since this isn’t it,” someone else added.

“Please copy something, just a little?” said another.

The shift coincides with the company’s planned relaunch as an electric-only brand, with three new EVs scheduled for production in 2026. The company is well-known for the iconic E-Type as well as the executive S-Type and XJR sedans.

As it shifts away from gasoline and diesel automobiles, Jaguar has already ceased production of its whole lineup.

“We need to change people’s perceptions of what Jaguar stands for,” stated Rawdon Glover, managing director.

  • Cheaper (depending on state or city)
  • Cheaper maintenance, due to lack of mechanical parts
  • Great for commuting
  • Reduced CO2 emissions
  • Federal and state tax incentives

EV drawbacks

  • Higher initial cost
  • Higher insurance rates
  • More frequent tire and brake replacement intervals
  • Higher curb weight (thus causing more rapid wear on crucial parts)
  • Low resale value
  • High depreciation rates
  • Lack of charging infrastructure
  • Unreliable public charging (related: slow charging times)
  • Poor winter and summer performance
  • Lack of clean energy alternatives means more “dirty energy” from coal and nuclear sources
  • Range anxiety

PROS OF GAS:

  • Highly developed refueling infrastructure
  • Fast refueling
  • Cheaper insurance rates, depending on make, model, and configuration
  • Established repair industry
  • Lower initial cost
  • Higher range before refueling, especially with hybrids
  • Many manufacturers produce nearly emission-less engines
  • Cheaper refueling, depending on the location

CONS OF GAS:

  • Finite resource (related: heavy dependence on petroleum)
  • Carbon emissions/greenhouse gases
  • Higher repair costs
  • Higher insurance rates, depending on make, model, and configuration
  • Varying costs at the pump, depending on state, city, and county
