Jeff Bezos employee pleads not guilty to ‘hacking dad to death with ax on election night’ after cops found her clapping

Accused of killing her elderly father with an ax on election night, a Seattle employee of Jeff Bezos’ aerospace business has entered a not guilty plea and been ordered to retain a public lawyer.

Corey Burke, who has been accused of first-degree murder, has been listed on LinkedIn as a training program manager at Blue Origin for the last five years.

In prosecution documents, Burke, the 33-year-old wife of well-known trans writer Samantha Leigh Allen, is charged with going on a violent rampage and killing her father, Timothy Burke, 67.

She has not been able to hire a counsel, according to fresh court records for the case that the U.S. Sun got from King County.

Rather, she has been compelled to hire a state-provided public defense.

Mark Adair and Selena Alonzo of The Defender Association Division in King County are her attorneys, according to the docket.

According to the complaint, she was informed of the accusations during the early morning arraignment and was present when she entered a not-guilty plea.

Burke is regarded as a public danger and is still being held on a $2 million bail.

Blue Origin has not answered The U.S. Sun’s inquiries or offered any comments regarding the murder case.

Since the murder, articles with her byline have appeared in Cond Nast’s LGBTQ+ online magazine, Them, demonstrating her wife’s decision to remain silent about the case and carry on working.

BLOODY SCENE

Charge records state that Burke lost her temper when her father wouldn’t turn out the lights during the November 5 vote count.

According to the police, she walked upstairs in their $800,000 shared house, picked up an ice axe, tripped her father, choked and bit him, and then repeatedly struck him over the head.

One of the strikes entered his lung after piercing his ribcage.

According to the documents, Burke allegedly sat down next to her father and watched him pass away.

Before neighbors phoned 911, she allegedly broke out a number of windows in her home.

She seemed to be experiencing a mental health crisis, according to the officers who arrived on the scene, and at one time she attempted to leave, claiming she needed to go to the hospital.

She informed them that no one else was in the house and that they lacked authorization to search it.

“After speaking with neighbors that the defendant s elderly father lived in the residence, the police officers entered the residence to make a welfare check and found Timothy Burke deceased with obvious signs of trauma in the basement bedroom and a bloody ice ax in the upstairs living room,” according to court documents.

CHILLING CLAPPING

When officers arrived, they allegedly heard loud clapping coming from inside the house, according to a Seattle Police Department report obtained by The U.S. Sun.

Burke then told police that she was clapping because she was thrilled after leaving the house with blood on her face.

She stated that “she was sick, that she had not eaten, and that her mouth was dry” while requesting water, according to the report, and her breathing was rapid and unsteady.

Burke maintained that she had not been using drugs or alcohol, and when police determined that she was mentally ill, they called an ambulance to transport her to the hospital.

Officers spoke with the neighbors who contacted 911 after she was taken from the scene and learned that Burke’s father, who was in his 70s and had a number of health problems, also lived at the property and was rarely away.

In order to determine whether he needed any help, concerned officers then made the decision to enter the house in a community caretaking role, according to the police report.

Then, in a downstairs bedroom, police found her father unconscious and face down on the carpet. He had numerous wounds to his left side, back, head, and ears.

“Officers noted what appeared to them as a bite mark on the male s back, near his right shoulder,” the report stated.

At the spot, he was pronounced dead.

A bloodied silver and blue ice ax was discovered on the floor of the living room, close to the top of the stairs, when police examined the rest of the property.

‘MURDER CONFESSION’

“Well, now the president is going to be Donald Trump,” Burke said when police questioned her in the hospital what day it was and who the president was.

Speaking candidly about her relationship with her father, she reportedly stated that she felt “it needed to happen today.”

She claimed in filings that she sensed something significant about election day and that she had been “reborn” close to her birthday in October.

She went on to claim that he felt overburdened. According to the documents, Corey talked about how she had been trying to set limits with her father regarding his feelings.

Burke reportedly started crying and asked cops whether she had acted too quickly, saying she had a desire to assist others rethink their bond to their parents.

Burke claimed that she “just freaked out” and allegedly informed police, “I killed him,” when her father began to argue with her about turning down the lights.

She then allegedly described the murder in graphic detail, confessing that she had to suffocate him with an ice axe and that “it was really hard, really f**king hard.”

When her father finally “went limp,” Burke allegedly claimed that she felt better and that she had to bite him while choking him due to his strength.

According to documents, she then acknowledged repeatedly striking his head with the ice pickax before sitting next to him until he stopped breathing.

After that, it is said that she walked upstairs and broke all of their windows “as an act of liberation.”
