GOINS TO TOC!
Favorite among fans Despite losing Jeopardy, Drew Goins will still participate in the Tournament of Champions! Champions Wildcard Competition.
After dozens of competitors fought their way to the finals, the event came to a spectacular conclusion last week.
The match concludes season 41 and sets the stage for the renowned Tournament of Champions. It is part two of the two-day finals.
Drew, a journalist from Honolulu, Hawaii, faced off against Mehal Shah, a software developer from Seattle, Washington, and Will Yancey, a history lecturer from Banquete, Texas.
Mehal had an early lead with $27,200, Drew had $17,600, and Will had $5,600. Their results from the first part carried over to Friday.
Upon calculating their total two-day scores, Mehal emerged victorious with $46,200.
Will came in third with $5,600, while Drew came in second with $17,600.
Only the lone champion from the Champions Wildcard Tournament was anticipated to advance to the Tournament of Champions.
However, Drew will be able to continue due to a flaw in the game show regulations.
Apart from the top-earning regular season and tournament winners, Jeopardy! also lets the Celebrity Jeopardy! champion play in the Tournament of Champions.
The Parent Trap icon and Abbott Elementary star Lisa Ann Walter was victorious in the 2024 season.
However, Lisa Ann was unable to participate in Tournament of Champions owing to schedule difficulties as she had to film the next season of Abbott Elementary.
This meant that the second-place finisher from the Champions Wildcard would be the one to invite her.
