Rare behind-the-scenes images show THE BRIGHT, contemporary Jeopardy! studio that still pays tribute to the late host Alex Trebek.
Usually, fans are only allowed to see the areas of the set that are shown on the show, such the game board and the contestant podiums, but The U.S. Sun was granted unique backstage access to the popular trivia program.
The renowned Sony Pictures Studios property in Culver City, California, where sequences from classic movies like Wizard of Oz, Jaws, and Singin’ in the Rain were shot, is where Jeopardy! was filmed.
Hollywood magic is being used to create additional projects as you stroll through the property, which is centered by the renowned Sony water tower, all the way down to Jeopardy’s Stage 10 location.
As they approach Stage 10, guests will notice a large black and gold plaque outside the soundstage indicating that it has been renamed The Alex TrebekStage.
Three connected contestant podiums are visible for fans to pose behind as soon as you enter the studio.

Under bright lights, a trophy case containing dozens of different Emmy Awards that the show has received throughout the years is on display.

The prize, which was given out posthumously the year following Alex’s death from pancreatic cancer in 2020, was last given to him in 2021.
Fans can even stand behind Alex’s personal podium, which is on display, to view the adored host’s iconic glasses and scribbled messages.
There are many different things on Alex’s podium on any given tape day. A message on the podium said, and among these are his glasses, a Final Jeopardy! card, a crayon, competitor interview cards, and a game script.
His category cards and crossed-out comments are also visible beneath the glass display case.
Since his passing, the crew has continued to pay tribute to Alex in other ways, such as by showcasing a large number of the TV personality’s personal belongings.
The host wearing the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey jersey while on the ice is included in one of the wall’s frames. Alex is a native of Canada.
For Jeopardy, Alex Trebek gets the chance to scatter clues over the globe! A plaque next to the jersey reads, “As a die-hard sports fan, one of his favorite places was a clue shoot with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2001.”
A Jeopardy! Simpsons game, other video games, personalized apparel, sports memorabilia, and things from the host’s travels were among the many Alex Trebek-themed objects shown in other glass cabinets over the years.
Alex’s personal water bottles, clothes, and other controls he used while at the podium are displayed on shelves just next to it.
Framed photos of Alex over the years and his several magazine covers, including his MadTV image, line the halls.
Ken Jennings, a former super champion, has been hosting Jeopardy! after Alex’s death and has already established itself as a cherished mainstay of the trivia community.
Fans have come to appreciate Ken even though he hasn’t won any Emmys yet—Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak has won the awards since Alex’s death.
In November 2020, Alex, who had been behind the game show’s podium since 1984, died at the age of 80.

“There comes a time when you have to decide whether you want to continue with such a low quality of life or whether you want to just ease yourself into the next level,” he remarked at the time. I’m not at all bothered by it.

Alex was contracted to host Jeopardy! until 2022 and presented the CBS show for more than 35 years.
