Jesup Police Nab Suspect in Walmart Restroom Surveillance Case

JESUP COUNTY, GA.- There have been many occurrences reported at a Walmart restroom, and a Jesup man is being charged with those incidents.

On Thursday, April 18, at approximately seven o’clock in the evening, a Jesup police officer who was already present at the Walmart located at 1100 North First was informed by the on-duty officer of the store that a man had been sitting in a stall in the men’s room for more than an hour and looked like he was taking photographs and videos of people who were sitting in the stall next to him.

The individual who was suspected of the crime was described as being dressed in black crocs and black sweatpants with white on them, as stated in the police report. Outside of the restroom, the officer waited for someone who was wearing the two articles of clothing by himself.

Following initial contact, the police were able to determine that the suspect in question was Cershaun Parker, who resides in Jesup. For the purpose of determining whether or not the allegations were accurate, the officer requested that Parker willingly hand over his phone. Parker voluntarily consented to the search being conducted.

The police were able to determine that Parker had recently erased multiple images and videos that were recorded during the time that he was in the stall, as stated in a report that was filed by the officer. This was discovered after the officer acquired access to the phone.

Additionally, it was discovered that Parker had just erased images and videos that lasted multiple weeks prior to the current one, in addition to videos that likely had been uploaded to a social media website.
