During a tribute night, a former teammate of hockey player Johnny Gaudreau, who was killed by a drunk driver, started crying.
Four months ago, Johnny and his brother Matthew perished in an automobile accident.
And on Tuesday night, they received recognition during a National Hockey League game.
There was a pregame matchup between the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Calgary Flames.
At Boston College, Johnny was a teammate of Sean Monahan of Columbus.

In Calgary, Alberta, Canada, the late brothers’ family was also there.
The couple was expecting a third child, and his widow Meredith was carrying one of their two children.
Meredith said, “It’s been really nice,” to Sportsnet.
“I sincerely hoped that everyone would see the children.
“Everyone has just been so warm, it feels like you never left when you’re here for a couple days.”
On August 29, Johnny, 31, and Matthew, 29, were assassinated close to their Jersey family home.
The following day, they were scheduled to attend their sister’s wedding.
This week’s tribute event included their father Guy as well.
“Some of the best fans in the world are here in Calgary,” he stated.
The 44-year-old Sean Higgins was accused on two charges of reckless driving and auto death.
In addition, he received citations for drinking alcohol in a car and having an open container.
According to law police, he had consumed five or six drinks prior to colliding with the Gaudreau brothers’ motorcycles.
His blood alcohol content was 0.87, beyond the state’s legal limit of 0.8, according to police officials.
Because he was considered a flight risk, he was remanded in custody until the jail.
