Kansas City Chiefs fans claim ‘everyone definitely hates us now’ after Christmas movie trailer starring Andy Reid drops

THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS are set to release a Christmas flick that made their own fans “cringe”.

The Chiefs teamed up with Hallmark to produce the film Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which will be released on November 30.

The synopsis of the film sees Alana, a die-hard Kansas City fan, meeting the team’s fictional director of fan engagement Derrick in her family’s bid to win the Fan of the Year contest.

Alana gets romantically involved with Derrick to whom she says that every time a member of her family where’s a “lucky Christmas hat” during the holiday season the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl.

The NFL giants released the trailer, which also shows legendary head coach Andy Reid making a cameo as he asks the couple to leave the field where they were sharing an intimate moment.

The clip was met with mixed reaction as a section of the fans found the plot to be a little too “cheesy” for their liking.
