Kansas City Chiefs star in line for huge $1 million bonus if he hits three Week 18 milestones with Patrick Mahomes out
The Kansas City Chiefs’ choice to rest starters in Week 18 could keep them from having to pay out a $1 million roster bonus.
As it stands, Kansas City is guaranteed the top seed in the AFC playoffs.
For the journey to the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs will also give players like Patrick Mahomes a break.
DeAndre Hopkins’ wallet will suffer as a result of the decision to sideline the majority of the first squad.
The 32-year-old wide receiver was traded from the Tennessee Titans to Kansas City during the season.
As he becomes more accustomed to the playbook, he has saw his role in Mahomes’ offense expand.

Additionally, Hopkins would be owed $500,000 for a touchdown this week.
A $1 million incentive will be awarded if they are able to accomplish all three achievements against the Denver Broncos.
The 32-year-old receiver’s expected playing time is unknown, though.
Additionally, with Mahomes out, he will have to rely on backup quarterback Carson Wentz to toss him the rock.
In October, the Tennessee Titans acquired Hopkins in exchange for a conditional fifth-round pick.
The pick will become a fourth if the Chiefs make it to the Super Bowl and he plays in 60% of the snaps.
