Kansas City Chiefs star who woke up unemployed from brutal roster cut sends emotional message after two Super Bowl wins
Following his cruel roster cut, two-time Super Bowl champion Clyde Edwards-Helaire delivered an emotional message to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 25-year-old running back was released by the reigning champions on Monday, making him a free agent.
In 2020, Edwards-Helaire, a first-round selection from Louisiana State University, joined the Chiefs.
He ultimately made 56 appearances for the team.
When the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2022, Edwards-Helaire said it was the high point of his career.
In an exciting game, they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.

However, when Edwards-Helaire led the Chiefs to a second consecutive Super Bowl victory in 2023, things took a turn for the better.
The historic triumph was achieved by defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25–22.
But after being fired this week, Edwards-Helaire is now searching for a new side.
And in a heartfelt social media statement, he paid a moving homage to his previous side.
Love ya, KC, Edwards-Helaire said. A family I didn’t realize I needed—you guys fulfilled the hopes of a Baton Rouge child!
It’s all love, Chiefs Kingdom, and I will always be grateful for the unwavering support you gave me during difficult times. With affection, Clydro.
Seeing one of their heroes go was undoubtedly upsetting to the fans.
