Kate Middleton shops for new glasses during rare solo evening shopping trip in iconic London location

PRINCESS This week, Kate was seen looking for glasses at Finlay & Co. opticians in London’s Notting Hill while traveling alone.

The 43-year-old Princess of Wales was spotted carrying an 850 Smythson MiniLytton Crossbody Bag while wearing a heavy coat and a checkered scarf to stay warm.

Princess Kate was photographed entering the store and speaking with the salesperson on Tuesday, as football aficionado Prince William supported Aston Villain Monaco.

The independent store, which specializes in sunglasses and eyewear, established its second location in Soho in 2019.

As one internet review puts it, “the best opticians I’ve experienced in my 40 years” is one of its many glowing testimonials.

The down-to-earth Princess Kate has been seen strolling into stores before.

Emotional Kate confirms for first time she’s in remission after cancer battle

She has previously been photographed perusing children’s Halloween costumes at Sainsbury’s and at the low-cost retailer The Range.

After undergoing preventative chemotherapy in 2024, the royal mother of three is gradually returning to her royal duties.

Kate expressed her “relief” earlier this month when she disclosed that her cancer struggle is now in remission.

“Being in remission now is a relief, and I’m still focused on getting better,” she stated. Anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer knows that acclimating to a new normal takes time.

Nevertheless, I am anticipating a successful year. There’s a lot to anticipate. We appreciate everyone’s ongoing support.

The Princess of Wales hailed the workers at London’s Royal Marsden Hospital for their “exceptional” care during her lone visit.

Only a few weeks after the King’s illness, Kate made her cancer diagnosis public in an emotional video message last March.

Last year, the monarch took a leave of absence from royal duties to aid in her recuperation, as advised by her physicians.

The Sun reported this month that Kate would be making a “gradual return” to front-line responsibilities, but royal admirers were cautioned not to anticipate the same “volume of work” as prior to her health issue.

Even though William stated in November while speaking in South Africa that the couple had “trips” planned for the New Year, it is believed that Kate’s international travels are currently “off the table.”

However, the princess’s work in early childhood education will be the “golden thread” of her engagements this year, and she will be seen “up and down the country.”

Westminster Abbey held the Princess of Wales’ yearly Together at Christmas carol concert last month.

The princess is well aware of the fashions that accentuate her body, and although she occasionally incorporates high street fashion with her favorite brands, the fundamentals always stay the same.

Her ability to recycle clothing is the greatest advantage of her self-assured approach. Kate is frequently spotted wearing custom clothing from popular designers Jenny Packham, Ellis Saab, and McQueen.

Another significant benefit is that it has enabled her to accumulate a remarkable collection of handbags.

Kate is thought to own at least 110 styles, though the precise number has never been made public.

That may seem like a lot to most average humans, but when you take into account that the princess attends up to 100 public events annually, it’s not that absurd.

Among the designers featured in Kate’s collection are Ellie Saab, Aspinal of London, Chanel, Asprey, McQueen, Prada, and Jimmy Choo.
