Krispy Kreme customers blocked from buying donuts as cyberattack wreaks havoc on business before Day of Dozens BOGO deal
KRISPY Kreme is having trouble completing online purchases because of a cyberattack that is severely disrupting their IT infrastructure.
According to the doughnut company, the cyberattack has prevented US consumers from making online purchases.
According to the company’s complaint with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), “Krispy Kreme, Inc. was notified regarding unauthorized activity on a portion of its information technology systems on November 29, 2024.”
According to the company, its online ordering system is the primary target of the malware.
The doughnut manufacturer stated, “Daily fresh deliveries to our retail and restaurant partners are uninterrupted.”
Customers in the US who are unable to place their orders online are encouraged to visit Krispy Kreme’s more than 350 stores.
“Krispy Kreme shops globally are open, and consumers are able to place orders in person,” they stated.
