LA Lakers make major Bronny James decision which is slammed as ‘detrimental’ by ESPN star who claims ‘it’s gone too far’
THE LA LAKERS have made a major decision over Bronny James, with an ESPN star labelling it “detrimental.”
James, 20, is the son of NBA superstar and fellow Lakers ace Lebron.
The pair made history by becoming the first father-son duo to play together.
But with James Jr in his rookie season, he has been getting some extra minutes in for development.
As well as the Lakers, he has also been assigned for G League side South Bay Lakers.
And his parent club have appeared to ruffle some feathers by insisting James only plays in home games, despite being only being a second-round draft pick.

It means James Jr will not have to spend time travelling around from state to state.
He is effectively a part-time G League player as a result.
While James can still turn out in the NBA for the Lakers.
And ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reckons the halfway decision will do more harm than good.
He said: “I don’t like that, I don’t know whose idea it was but obviously the Lakers are fine with it.
“They’re doing it. But I think it’s gone too far and I don’t think it benefits Bronny.
“I don’t think it benefits the South Bay Lakers and I don’t think it benefits LeBron at this point.”
However, dad LeBron insists his son is not getting special treatment.
He said: “Bronny’s job is to put the work in and get better and better, just like the rest of us.
“And we want to hold him accountable, and he’s going to hold us accountable.
“And if we all do that, we all get better, because we’re all one team.
“We’re a reflection of South Bay. South bay is a reflection of us.”
