LA Lakers make major LeBron James decision after another loss as coach admits ‘it’s not in best interests’

Following yet another lackluster defeat, the Los Angeles Lakers will think about resting LeBron James.

James, 39, only made 25% of his field goals in Monday’s loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.

His sixth consecutive game with a shooting percentage below 45% was the longest since 2004.

In the 109-80 loss to Minnesota, James had his fewest points of the season (10 points on 4-16 shooting).

Additionally, the Lakers have chosen to reexamine his objective of participating in all 82 games this season.

This week, James, who is in his 21st NBA season, played his 1,800th game.

However, Lakers coach JJ Redick declared that he will consider whether it is wise for James to play in every game during the regular season.

“I don’t know that’s in the best interest of him and us if he does that,” Redick stated.

“But he ought to play if he’s feeling good and healthy.

“But we obviously want to manage that as best we can.”

James, however, stated that he had no interest in altering his strategy for each game.

James remarked, “That’s a goal, but, we’ll see,”

In the Western Conference, which is quite close, they are ranked seventh.

However, before the group stage is even finished, the Lakers are already eliminated from consideration for the NBA Cup.

Last year, James led Los Angeles to victory in the first-ever NBA Cup.

In the Las Vegas, Nevada, final, they triumphed over the Indiana Pacers.

This year, the NBA legend accomplished a life goal.

His son Bronny James, who was selected by the Lakers this year, was on the same basketball floor as him.

“It’s family.” During a combined postgame press conference with Bronny, LeBron stated, “It’s always been family over everything.”
