Lagrange Home Shooting: 15-year-old Shoots 10-year-old, Then Self

TROUPE COUNTY, GA.- Two teenagers were shot at a residence located in the 1600 block of Bartley Road in LaGrange, Georgia, on June 4th at 10:41 PM. Deputy sheriffs from the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were called to the residence in response to the incident.

Three Dead, One Critically Injured in Marion; SUSPECT FACES MULTIPLE MURDER CHARGES

Upon arrival, deputies and other first responders discovered a male, aged 15, and a girl, aged 10, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were reported to be in critical condition.

After the patients were transferred to the Wellstar West Georgia Emergency Department, actions that could save their lives were promptly taken on both of them.

At this point, the investigation has found that the 15-year-old shot the 10-year-old for reasons that are now unknown. Officers from the Criminal Investigations Division of the Troup County Sheriff’s Office were notified of the incident. A few minutes later, the man was found to have shot himself.

The two victims were related to one another.

The adolescent is currently in serious condition after being sent to a hospital in the Atlanta area since she was transported there for treatment.
