Legal Troubles: Sean Kingston and Mother in Custody for Fraud and Theft Allegations
DEBARYLIFE – Following a police raid on Sean Kingston’s Florida home on May 23, fraud and theft accusations led to the arrest of both Janice Turner and her son, rapper Sean Kingston.
They are charged with more than $1 million worth of fraud, which includes alleged thefts of cash, jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade, and furnishings.
The raid on Kingston’s rental property was the result of a lawsuit filed against him in February, according to lawyer Dennis Card, who is defending Ver Ver Entertainment in the case.
According to the lawsuit, Kingston was supposed to have paid for a 232-inch TV among other things he received from the business.

“He likes having bling, he likes showing off, he’s a showman,” Card continued, accusing Kingston of setting up a fraud system.
“My client possesses a $150,000 television sound system, approximately $1 million worth of watches, and a $80,000 custom bed that was ordered.” This is a well-planned, deliberate scam.
Robert Rosenblatt, Kingston’s lawyer, has confidence that a “successful resolution” will be reached.
