Legendary nineties rock star QUITS band after 30 years with emotional statement

After 30 years, guitarist Chris Burney has left Bowling For Soup.

After seven months of the pop-punk trio being compelled to perform as a trio, the band made the news public today.

As Chris, 55, focuses on his health, they have now made the decision to stay together as a trio and not replace him.

“To All Our Amazing Bowling For Soup Fans,” reads a statement on Bowling For Soup’s Instagram.

We regret to inform you that Chris Burney has decided to step down from his stage-right position in the band he co-founded in 1994.

“It has been challenging to continue after 30 years of rolling balls and touring nonstop, along with some recent medical advancements. Although we regret not having Chris by our side, we wholeheartedly endorse his choice.

“With Chris Blessing, the three of us will continue to forge the legacy of this band that we all adore.” Neither Chris nor a touring guitarist will be joining us on tour. A legend cannot be replaced. When we began this adventure, we were brothers, and we still are.

“See you at the shows and in your ears.”

“He and I started this band 30 years ago, almost 31 now, and at one point, he was kind of the face of the band,” frontman Jaret Reddick told K! in response to the decision.

“I can’t stress this enough: without him, we wouldn’t be who or where we are today.

Next month, Bowling For Soup will perform in the UK alongside Wheatus and Magnolia Park.

Jaret recently informed us that he suffered one of the worst hangovers of his life in Blackpool, where they will begin their tour on February 5.

“I’ve only ever been wheeled back to the tour bus in Blackpool,” Jaret remarked.

I was placed on a mobile dumpster to return after our day off.

I would say that I will not be attending a pub following the performance. I am aware of your actions.

I struggled to return to Blackpool because of the enormous crowd.
