Legendary Steelers coach Bill Cowher makes major CBS NFL Today retirement decision with contract running down

THE iconic Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher revealed his future on CBS’s hit program NFL Today.

The NFL Hall of Famer has been an analyst on the pregame show for 18 seasons.

CBS changed The NFL Today heading into the 2024 season, but the longtime star Cowher survived the tune-up.

Ahead of the show’s remote broadcast in Buffalo, Cowher confirmed on Friday that he will return for his 19th season in 2025 in an appearance on the Sports Media with Richard Deitsch podcast.

CBS moved on from veteran broadcasters Boomer Esiason and Phil Simms after the 2024 season.

Cowher shared that The NFL Today cast knew there were going to be changes after CBS aired the Super Bowl in February, and it appears he has agreed to a two-year contract with the network.
