Louisville explosion leaves 11 injured after being trapped with shelter-in-place ordered as horror damage photos emerge
ELEVEN people have been injured in a horrific explosion that left nearby residents sheltered in place due to an ammonia leak.
The loud explosion was heard for miles after a business exploded in Louisville, Kentucky, on Tuesday afternoon.
The terrifying incident left people missing and trapped inside the collapsed structure, according to CBS affiliate WLKY.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Louisville officials for comment.
The mayor announced at around 4:30 pm ET that everyone is “accounted for” but that 11 people were injured in the scary scene.
Officials ordered people in a two-block radius of the scene to evacuate.

Those within a one-mile radius of the business were told to shelter in place to the ammonia leak.
Louisville Fire confirmed two people have been hospitalized due to the explosion.
First responders set up a triage area near the scene, which is on Payne Street in the city’s Clifton neighborhood.
