(FOX 2) MACKINAC ISLAND, MIHave you ever wished to spend the entire summer on? This is your opportunity, and you will be compensated for it.
Approximately 5,000 workers are currently needed by businesses to work on the charming island between May and October. Many companies are open to working with college students who might not be able to dedicate themselves to the entire season, according to Mackinac Island Tourism.
Tim Hygh, executive director of the Mackinac Island Tourism Bureau, stated, “Our Mackinac Island tourism industry depends on seasonal workers from near and far to make the island hum each season, and it’s because of their hard work and dedication that we’re able to provide unrivaled hospitality to every person that visits.”
Mackinac Island in Michigan has once again been voted the top summertime destination.
Jobs are needed for a wide range of jobs throughout the island, such as ferry boats, dock porters, bike shops, restaurants, carriage excursions, horse barns, hotels, fudge shops, and retail establishments. The Chippewa Hotel Waterfront, Wings of Mackinac, and The Pink Pony are just a handful of the Mackinac Island locations that are now hiring.
According to Macinac Island Tourism, individual employers usually collaborate with workers to assist them with lodging.
“Spending a season working on Mackinac Island is a unique experience that one will cherish for years to come, and I hope those looking for seasonal employment this year will consider applying for a job with us,” Hygh stated.
