Macomb County woman involved in deadly crash bit officer during arrest, prosecutor says
(FOX 2) Warren, Mich.Following a fatal vehicle accident in which she reportedly assaulted a Warren police officer, a Macomb County woman is spending the holidays in jail.
Warren police were called to a collision between a Ford Escape and a Chevy Silverado on Mound and Chicago Road on December 21. According to the police, an officer noticed a woman on the sidewalk when they arrived and approached the Ford, which was empty.
She allegedly drove the Ford Escape while intoxicated, according to witnesses.
According to the police, Diamond Leann Glenn bit and resisted the officer when he approached her to check for injuries.
After then, Glenn was detained and brought to the hospital.
According to the police, the Chevy’s driver, Christopher Andelean, 69, passed away in the hospital.
According to officials, Glenn may face additional charges after being charged with assault, resisting, and obstructing a police officer, a felony that carries a maximum sentence of two years. If she is released from custody, she will be required to wear an alcohol tether and her bond is set at $100,000.
On January 2, 2025, she had a hearing for probable cause, and on January 9, she had a preliminary examination.
