Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade branded a ‘circus’ after Al Roker’s mic blunder and Jimmy Fallon’s outfit choice
MACY’S Thanksgiving Day parade has been called a “circus” as viewers were left perplexed by the hosts’ strange actions.
As the celebrations went on on a rainy day in New York City, viewers who watched the 98th annual parade live were quick to point out mistakes made by celebrities like Jimmy Fallon and Al Roker.
Jimmy Fallon, host of The Tonight Show, began the three-hour parade by riding on one of the famous floats, despite the rain. Fallon wore sunglasses despite the gloomy weather.
One viewer commented on X, “The most Jimmy Fallon that Jimmy can Fallon is wearing sunglasses in the rain.”
“That is taking the circus to a whole new level,” said another.
Despite admitting to People that he had golfer’s elbow, Fallon is riding on the parade’s famous floats for the eleventh time.

He joked, “I think I got it from the waving on the float,” People said.
There are twenty-two enormous balloons and thirty-four amazing floats in the parade, including the first-ever Minnie Mouse balloon.
However, NBC News reports that the enormous Bluey balloon burst and deflated during yesterday’s inflation before to the parade, suggesting that one unique character may be absent.
Today show hosts Hoda Kotb, Al Roker, and Savannah Guthrie presented the parade, which was televised by NBC.
After announcing in September that she was quitting the Today show after six years as a co-anchor, Kotb is presenting the parade for the final time.
Despite presenting the parade since 1995, viewers were incensed when Roker appeared to forget to speak into his microphone correctly, thus it wasn’t Kotb who grabbed everyone’s attention.
“Al Roker has been on TV my entire life and still can t talk into a microphone lmao,” a user posted on X.
“How is it that Al Roker has been doing this parade for 79 years and doesn t know how to use a microphone?” Someone else made a joke.
“Someone tell Al Roker to hold the mic closer to his mouth when speaks,” a third party suggested.
