Major NFL cheat storm with Chicago Bears filing complaint to NFL over Green Bay Packers game-winning play
THE Chicago Bears are filing a complaint with the NFL over a game-losing play.
TheChicago Bearslost on a blocked field goal on Sunday, but the team believes the play was illegal.
Bears kicker Cairo Santos lined up for a game-winning field goal with just seconds left on the clock to take down theGreen Bay Packers.
However, his kick would never make it through the uprights and the Packers would win the game 20-19.
Immediately after the game, Bears head coachMatt Eberflusacknowledged that he thought the blocked field goal was illegal and would turn it in to theNFL.
He claimed that the Packers made illegal contact on long snapper Scott Daly.

“We’ll turn the play in,” he said.
“They were on our long-snapper, so we’ll turn the play in and see what the league said.
“We saw them making direct contact with him right away.”
According to NFL rules, it is considered unnecessary contact if a defender touches a long snapper while his head is still down.
Not only was Daly’s head down, but it also appeared that the defenders may have used leverage off of his back to get high enough to block the kick.
Pat McAfee, a former kicker, shared his skepticism about the play on X after the game.
“I don’t know if this blocked field goal was legal,”he wrote.
“If I’m a Chicago Bears fan I’m certainly asking some questions.”
McAfee also discussed the topic on his ESPN show on Monday.
“Not only did they go right over the top of the center, they also pushed,” he said.
Regardless of if the NFL deems the play illegal, the outcome of the game won’t be changed.

The Bears have a 4-6 record this season, but it could easily be flipped to 6-4 if the two last-second plays didn’t go against them.
