FOX 2: MACOMB COUNTY, MIAuthorities claim that a guy killed his father’s dog by strangulation on Tuesday, and he is now facing charges.
Around 5:25 p.m., deputies from the sheriff’s office were summoned to a residence on Richmond Township’s Prinz Road in reference to a deceased pet and someone who may have been threatening them.
According to deputies, a 48-year-old Richmond man strangled his father’s labrador retriever when he was home alone with the dog. With his arms wrapped around the dog’s neck, the suspect’s father came home. The father couldn’t get his son’s arms off the dog’s neck, the sheriff’s office said.
Then the suspect made a threat against himself.
According to the authorities, he did not cooperate with the deputies. Third-degree animal death and torture led to his arrest.

It is anticipated that the unidentified suspect will be arraigned on the allegations on Friday.
