Man Arrested for Fatal Shooting of Ex-Girlfriend’s Boyfriend in Lake Mary
In a tragic event that unfolded at a Seminole County apartment, a man was arrested after shooting and killing his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend. Nathanal Samuel Bratcher II, 26, was taken into custody on a first-degree premeditated murder charge following the deadly incident that occurred late Wednesday night. According to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office, Bratcher had called his ex-girlfriend to tell her he was going to kill her current boyfriend, Larreon Da’Quan Cosby, 32.
The incident took place around 11:20 p.m. at the Sun Lake Apartment Homes near Lake Emma Road in Lake Mary. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Cosby lying unresponsive on the apartment porch, with a woman, identified as his girlfriend, screaming nearby. Unfortunately, Cosby was pronounced dead at the scene, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
Investigators revealed that the woman had tried to warn Cosby after receiving Bratcher’s threatening phone call, but her attempts to reach him were unsuccessful. Frantic, she and others rushed to Cosby’s apartment, only to discover him bleeding and unresponsive. Witnesses reported hearing an argument between two men just before the gunshots rang out.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office acted swiftly to track down Bratcher. With the help of his ex-girlfriend, they were able to identify Bratcher’s vehicle and his location. A sheriff’s helicopter spotted Bratcher driving his Ford Mustang near Osceola Drive in Sanford. Sanford police officers intercepted the vehicle and took Bratcher into custody without incident.

Bratcher is currently being held at the Seminole County jail without bond.
