Man buys car from dealership then learns he can’t drive it – a year later he was still missing crucial papers

A man was kept in the dark about why he was unable to drive the car he had purchased from a dealership.

In actuality, three clients of a New York car dealership in Nanuet were compelled to park their recently acquired cars because they were prohibited from being driven.

Route 59 Motors allegedly neglected to provide three buyers with vehicle titles, which prevented them from registering their new automobiles and obtaining license plates, according to ABC’s7 On Your Side.

After purchasing a Jeep Wrangler from the store in October 2023, Ryan, one of the customers, called them narcissistic and insane.

“I wasn’t given a reason as to why,” he continued.

“The employees at 59 Motors can constantly just delay the process, making you think that they’re doing something for you or on your behalf and never follow through on it,” Jonathan, who purchased an Infinity a month later, continued.

Another disgruntled client, Carl, added: “Oh, come pick up the tags,” they said out of the blue.

“I’m going to call the cops on you,” Carl replied in response.

In my face, he chuckled. He smiled. I felt degraded and violated at that moment.

According to the New York DMV, the dealership was the subject of multiple complaints, including legitimate infractions such engaging in deceptive or dishonest advertising and neglecting to keep documentation of the ownership of a sold vehicle.

Additionally, they asserted that they were selling the same vehicles without first submitting an application for registration and title, and then presenting a certificate of sale for the vehicles that they did not actually possess.

Since then, the dealership’s license has been canceled, and Samaan, the proprietor of Route 59 Motors, is scheduled to appear in court the first week of December to face charges.
